The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center has raised $1.2 million ahead of A Conversation With a Living Legend on Nov. 5 at the Hilton Anatole.
The luncheon features a talk between CBS Sports commentator Tony Romo and honoree Jordan Spieth, the champion golfer with a namesake foundation focused on pediatric cancer and other youth and family causes.
Wade T. Nowlin Jr. is chair of the event, which benefits M.D. Anderson's Moon Shots research program.

A Conversation With a Living Legend originated in 1990 in Dallas and has been replicated in other cities, raising a total of $39.7 million, including $18 million from North Texas.
