Tom Watson said he was tossing Jordan Spieth and Patrick Reed into the ocean without a life vest at this year's Ryder Cup.
Verdict: Texas boys can swim.
Spieth and Reed made six birdies in the first 11 holes and eventually won 5 and 4 over Ian Poulter and Stephen Gallacher ending a 7-match win streak for Poulter.
"I was full of excitement," said Reed to Golf Channel after his round. "Our main goal was to go out and play some good golf and hopefully have it pretty quiet around our group."
The best moment? How about this very loud, very impressive "come on!" from Spieth after banging home yet another birdie.
