Happy Return: Jordan Spieth Compliments BMW Championship at Conway Farms

Almost one year ago, Jordan Spieth’s career path was re-routed to the Chicago area after the Texan won the John Deere Classic in Silvis.

Just a teenager at the time, Spieth’s victory at TPC Deere Run last July catapulted him into full-time status on the PGA Tour and standing in the FedEx Cup playoffs, which eventually brought him to Lake Forest last fall for the BMW Championship. He finished tied for 16th at Conway Farms Golf Club and ended the season a week later at the Tour Championship, a field that included the tour’s top 30 players.

The PGA Tour recently announced that the BMW Championship will return to Conway Farms in 2015 (the event is being held at Cherry Hills Country Club in Colorado this year). Zach Johnson, another former John Deere Classic champion, won the tournament a year ago.
