Jordan on Why He's Not the Best Athlete in the Family, What He's Learned From Michael Phelps

Jordan Spieth appeared on The Dan Patrick Show recently to talk about what he misses about team sports, who's the best athlete in the family and more. Here are some of the highlights.

Back to his baseball days

Dan Patrick: How close were you to maybe making baseball your career instead of golf?

Jordan Spieth: I mean, I wasn’t that good. But my dad played in college and I was a left-handed pitcher. As a left-handed pitcher you don’t have to throw it, you know, 95, as long as you’ve got some weird stuff, some Jamie Moyer-type stuff. My dad pitched against him in high school actually, so he always used to, kind of relate us two and, but I was probably 12 or 13 when I really started to like the individual aspect of golf and seeing the trials and the errors and how to learn from both of them and it’s just easier to see the results from the practice you put in.
