Jordan Spieth is up again for best male golfer at the ESPY Awards, which announced nominees this week. Spieth, the world’s second-ranked golfer, won the honor in 2015. The ESPYs honor excellence in athletes across more than 30 categories.
In May, Spieth, 22, won the Dean & Deluca Invitational at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas, calling it “one of the most important days I’ve ever had.”
Jason Day, Dustin Johnson, and Danny Willett are also nominated in the male golfer category. Founded in 1993, the ESPYs benefit the V Foundation for Cancer Research in memory of Jim Valvano, the NCAA basketball coach and broadcaster. This year’s ceremony will air on ABC Wednesday, July 13.
