Jordan Spieth Set For Masters Rebound at 2014 RBC Heritage

RantSports — Fresh off an absolutely incredible week at the Masters Tournament, what does Jordan Spieth want to do to follow it up? Play more golf, of course. After 61 of the 72 holes at Augusta National, Spieth held a two-stroke lead over Bubba Watson. As Watson’s fearless shotmaking forced Spieth to press on the second nine, and the green jacket slipped away, it would be understandable if he wanted to take a week or so to recover. After all, for the better part of the last year, he’s been the center of attention, the next great American golfer who will, presumably, compete with Rory McIlroy for years to come. It’s a lot to handle on its own, and then you add the pressure of the Masters on top of it all. But that’s not Spieth’s style. Before he even left the grounds on Sunday, Spieth said that he was already looking forward to getting out and competing even more, and he’ll get that chance this week at the RBC Heritage. As it relates to Augusta, Harbour Town is about as distant as things get, a course where Graeme McDowell won last year on accuracy, not just length. Spieth tied for ninth last year, and with so much more experience behind him, it wouldn’t be surprising if he improved on that this time around.
