THE PLAYERS Championship - Final Round

2019 U.S. Open Championship

Jordan Spieth, Tiger Woods Will Be Grouped Together at Pebble Beach

The USGA announced groups and tee times for next week's U.S. Open at Pebble Beach on Thursday. Groups will begin teeing off at 8:45 a.m. Central Time -- 6:45 a.m. locally.

Dallas' Jordan Spieth will be a part of the group that is likely to get the most fanfare for the tournament. He will be paired with Justin Rose and Tiger Woods for the first two rounds. They will tee off at 4:09 p.m. Thursday afternoon, meaning their Friday tee time should be early in the morning.

Both Spieth and Woods have had success at Pebble Beach. Spieth won the 2017 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, besting the field by four strokes with a score of 19-under. Woods did double duty in 2000, winning the Pebble Beach Pro-Am with a score of 15-under and the U.S. Open by a record 15 strokes with a final score of 12-under. That was the second most recent U.S. Open hosted by Pebble Beach. The 2010 U.S. Open at Pebble Beach was won by Northern Ireland's Graeme McDowell.
