Jordan Spieth has completed the trifecta. Not the Masters, U.S. Open and Open Championship, mind you, but throwing out the first pitch for the Texas Rangers, Boston Red Sox and now Chicago Cubs. The left-handed Spieth touched off the pitch for the Cubs on Tuesday night before the BMW Championship and it was pretty solid.

"Hit the three-bucket listers for me there," Spieth said. "I'm done now. Fenway and Wrigley just growing up and hearing about the history -- just being a baseball fan and just knowing they're the most historic ballparks along with the old Yankee Stadium.
"It's really cool. It's awesome. It's an honor to go out there. People wonder how you can ... wear the jerseys of all three teams. It's great when they reach out and ask to go do it. It's a tremendous opportunity and get to hang out with some baseball players I'm huge fans of. Last night I got to hang out with some of the Cubs guys, the heroes of Chicago from what they did last year winning the World Series.

Spieth said even though he plays golf in front of thousands of people every week, he still felt some nerves on the bump (somebody get Johnny Miller on the horn!)
"I was actually talking with a couple of the guys about that," Spieth said. "They stand on the tee box even if there's 10 people out there watching and these baseball guys are nervous hitting a tee shot the same way for me out there. I'm like, 'Man, the only way you end up on ESPN if you really screw this one up.' I kind of bailed a little, threw it a little high but definitely was nervous walking out there."
It was another cool moment for the reigning Open Championship winner in a life full of them so far. He's been honored at all manner of sporting events. From Texas Longhorns football games to Dallas Mavericks basketball games. Check another one off the list. His last ever on the hill, apparently.
