Notable: Spieth is close to being a lock for the U.S. Ryder Cup team. He ranks seventh on the U.S. team standings. … His best finish in a World Golf Championship event was T5 in Match Play. … Asked on his website what player he most looked up to growing up, Spieth said Adam Scott. “I just really like the way he conducts himself on and off the golf course. He’s someone I’ve always respected.”
