Jordan Spieth Honored at University of Texas Football Game

Jordan Spieth wasn't too happy after the first two rounds of each of his last two PGA Tour starts, missing the cut in both the Barclays and the Deutsche Bank Championship. But he was beaming after two quarters of the Texas Longhorns' football game with Rice University Saturday night.

The reigning Masters and U.S. Open champion was honored at halftime, and wore his green jacket out onto the field, where he was joined by members of the Longhorns' teams that won Big 12 Championships last season. To salute the two-time major champ, the Longhorn band spelled out "Spieth" in huge letters spanning the width of the field.

Spieth, of course, briefly attended Texas – he was part of the Longhorns' 2012 NCAA Championship-winning team as a freshman – before turning professional. He'll be back in action this coming week in the BMW Championship, the third event in the PGA Tour's FedExCup playoffs, outside of Chicago.
